We stayed at Hadrian’s Barn as we were going to a friend’s wedding at Matfen Hall and wanted a change from staying in a city. Brilliant place to stay if you want to enjoy a lie in and a breakfast cooked at your own leisurely pace. Loved the fact that it was detached and totally private. Heard owls hooting in the trees at night too! Would definitely return if we are up this way again. Thanks for the lift back to our car at Matfen Hall – much appreciated.

As we were visiting this beautiful area for a sad occasion (a family funeral), this lovely self-catered B&B was a wonderful place to come back to. Stylishly decorated, immaculately clean, cosy (with easily controllable thermostat), Wifi, comfy beds and breakfast when we wanted: everything we needed and more. Lesley very friendly and helpful, but not intrusive. Highly recommended. Thank you.

Wow a hidden gem!  Thank you to Andrew and Lesley for a wonderful two day stay. We came up north for a family wedding at High House Farm Brewery .The barn is a true hidden gem!! with two great hosts , nothing too much trouble. We will be back soon Regards Guy and Rachel  xx
