Valley View Bed and Breakfast - in the hamlet of Calver is in the heart of the Peak District, situated upon the river Derwent. We are a friendly bed and breakfast sited next to the village cricket field, with superb views. The village hosts 3 pubs, (serving excellent evening meals), craft shops, garden centres and a post office.

The village is the start of many fine walks. Walkers to the area will find the stunning scenery from Curbar and Froggatt edge breathtaking. Chatsworth House, Park and farm shop is approximately 3 miles away. Travel through Chatsworth to Rowsley, see Cauldwell Mill, the new shopping complex.

The bustling market town of Bakewell famous for its Bakewell puddings and Haddon Hall well known for its rose gardens are only a short step away.

The historic village of Eyam where the plague came to from London in a box of cloth, Castleton, the gem of the Peak with it's Blue John caves attracts visitors from all over the world.

Your double or twin en-suite accommodation offers tea/coffee making facilities, remote control T.V., and a luxury bathroom. All rooms have superb views towards Curbar rocks, Longstone Moor, Chatsworth or Eyam.

FROM CHESTERFIELD OR THE (M1) MOTORWAY: Leave the Motorway at Junction 29 then follow the brown coloured signs for "Chatsworth House" taking you through Chesterfield.- Take the A619 to the roundabout in Baslow, then the A623 towards Chapel-en-le-frith. - Follow this road for approximately two miles into the village of Calver, taking the third left in to Donkey Lane. - We are situated on the corner of Donkey Lane and Smithy Knoll Road.

FROM SHEFFIELD : Take the A621 from Sheffield to Baslow, then follow the above directions.

FROM MANCHESTER : Take the A6 from Manchester to Bakewell - Leave Bakewell via the A6l9 towards Chesterfield. About half a mile on take a left turn on the B6001 towards Calver - On reaching the traffic lights at Calver turn right towards Baslow - Take the first right turn into Donkey Lane - We are situated on the corner of Donkey Lane and Smithy Knoll Road.

BY TRAIN : Grindleford Railway Station is about 2 miles away from Calver.
