Polcraig Guest House nestles on the hillside, centrally within Lochinver village, overlooking the bay. Local-family run with 6 very comfortable, en-suite bedrooms, 3 twins and 3 doubles you are assured of a good night's sleep here.

Each room is equipped with comfortable armchairs, a tea/coffee welcome tray, colour TV, clock/radio, hair drier, and each en-suite area has an electric shaving point, vanity mirror, wash basin and toilet. Quality towels & toiletries are provided for guests' use. There are excellent showers, but no baths in the en-suite areas.

In our dining room (which is laid out in tables for two) you can enjoy our hearty breakfasts. We endeavour to provide you with superb food, using the finest of local produce wherever possible. Generous helpings of fresh salmon, smoked haddock, sausage, bacon, eggs & black pudding will set you up for each day that you are with us. It is our aim to provide our guests with the very best of cuisine, and our multi-choice breakfast menu should satisfy the most discerning of palates.

There is a private, tarred car park, directly outside our house, for the exclusive use of our guests. Please note that, as our house is built on a hillside, there are lots of steps, both inside and outside the premises. It is therefore difficult for anybody with a severe walking disability.

Wild Brown Trout Fishing can be arranged for anglers, on any one, or indeed all of, over 300 hill lochs in our locality. About 30 boats are available for hire through our local Angling Association. Some loch fishing for salmon & sea trout can also be organised for guests. Fishing permits, at very affordable prices, are available from ourselves.

Everyone is welcome at Polcraig. We have an excellent drying area for wet clothing and footwear in our heated basement. You can also safely store your sporting equipment here, including bicycles. Deep freeze facilities are available for those fishermen who wish to take their catch home.

Your host, Cathel MacLeod, has a lifetime experience of freshwater angling in the UK, as well as deer stalking and hill walking in the Highlands. Helpful advice is freely available to participants in those pursuits.
