Bed And Breakfast's own web site
The Bower is a beautiful, small Georgian country house, set in the Arnside and Silverdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, at the northernmost tip of Lancashire. This idyllic, yet little known, corner of England is an ideal base from which to explore the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales National Parks. The Bower is in the small, picturesque village of Yealand Conyers, with extensive views of Ingleborough and the surrounding hills. Just five minutes from the M6, The Bower is also convenient for stop-overs en route to or from Scotland.

From bath essence to biscuits and tea/coffee to clock radios, nothing has been overlooked in the two lovely guest rooms. There are two comfortable and well-appointed bedrooms for guests. The larger has a double and a single bed and an en-suite bathroom . The smaller has a king-size bed and private bathroom. Bathrooms have a bath and power showers. The spacious drawing room is furnished with comfortable, soft sofas and an enormous cheese plant, evidence of Sally-Ann's green fingers. The room has a fine fireplace where log fires are lit on chilly evenings.

The welcoming kitchen with large pine table, around which guests gather for sumptuous breakfasts, is the heart of this Georgian home - warm, relaxed and informal. You will love Sally-Ann's hand made, home made breads, and the jams and marmalade made by Michael.
Michael and Sally-Ann are both keen bridge players. Michael plays the harpsichord and piano, and would be pleased to accompany guests.

The Bower is on the eastern edge of the Arnside and Silverdale AONB (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty). The area contains limestone crags and pavements, woodlands and mosslands, coastal scenery and magnificent views from Arnside Knott and Warton Crag. There are a large number of walks of all lengths, including several which start and finish just outside The Bower. (A walk book is available for guests to borrow).
