No matter what the weather, there is always something for everyone, from walking to cycling and bird-watching to fishing there is always something to do.
There is Ben Klibreck, Ben Hope and not forgetting the Queen of the Scottish Mountains Ben Loyal all around us for the hill-walkers.
We are also on 3 cycle routes for the cyclists out there, they are:
1: Lands End to John O' Groats,
2: Sustrans route 1
3: The North Sea Route.
With plenty of other roads to take other than the ones listed.
For the nature around the area is also unbelievable, with Wild Red Deer, Eagles and Ospreys, with the Lochs and Rivers where there is plenty of Brown Trout, Salmon and Sea Trout.
Altnaharra is 75 miles north of Inverness, our nearest shops and amenities are in Lairg 21 miles south and Tongue 17 miles north. We offer any transportation from the airports, train stations or bus stops, with plenty of notification.
There is everything here at your request, Internet access, Drying rooms, Cycle storage, Laundry service too. All our rooms are en-suite with tea and coffee facilities, there is a lounge with satellite television, and a conservatory to relax in and watch the world go by.
With evening meals also provided, we cater for all with any diets. Our main dishes are Wild Venison or Salmon depending on the season, but good home cooking is what we offer.
