We have been running Bed and Breakfast for twenty years, and our aim is to exceed your expectations.
There is a friendly and informal atmosphere waiting for guests at Newdegate House. Newdegate House is a detached house standing in 2 acres of gardens, which guests are welcome to enjoy. It's an ideal base for exploring this part of Essex with its pretty villages of Thaxted (famous for Morris dancing), Finchingfield and the medieval Market town of Saffron Walden, with it unique turf maize. Audley End House is also close by.
The University city of Cambridge and Duxford War museum are a 30 minute drive. There is easy access to the M11. Stansted Airport is only 20 minutes by car.
The bedrooms are spacious and cosy, with coordinated soft furnishings. Courtesy tray, fridge, TV and Radio, both rooms are en-suite. Guests can relax in the conservatory or summerhouse overlooking the garden. There is a large off road parking area at the rear, where we can also accommodate guests cars while on holiday.
Tray snacks available between 5 and 8pm.
Single occupancy welcome.
Children welcome from age 15.

The nearest rail station is at Audley End, aprox 6 miles.
Unfortunately we are not on a bus route.
