Seven miles west along the A5 from Llangollen, Carrog sits on the banks of the River Dee. With a Steam Railway station and a pub offering good food, the wonderful walks, or just the sheer pleasure of sitting peacefully by the river, encourages many day trippers to return for a longer visit.
Just over an hour's drive from Liverpool, Manchester and Birmingham, it feels like a different world, with many guests saying they feel as if they have been away for days after just a short visit.

Directions
West bound along the A5 approximately seven miles from Llangollen, turn right signposted Carrog. Continue down the hill, passing the Steam Railway Station, and continue across the River Dee. Turn left, up the hill and through the village for quarter of a mile until you reach The Cottage on the left hand side opposite the church. The car park is in the private lane just left after the house.
