Built in around 1855, Celyn Villa is located in the quiet village of Carmel 2.5 miles from the centre of Holywell.

Many attractions are found in this most beautiful part of the British Isles. Holywell is famous for St Winefred's Well with its healing waters. From the majestic mountains of Snowdonia to the scenic coastline around Llandudno, the Conway Valley and Anglesey as well as many within Flintshire. The beautiful Clwydian Hills are on the door step offering wonderful walking.

North Wales has everything to offer from relaxing weekends to hectic touring and sporting facilities. It is also only 20 miles from the historic city of Chester and 30 from Liverpool. With close links to the A55 expressway between Junctions 31/32 it is also an ideal overnight stop for those travelling further a field. Special rates available for business and long term bookings.

Facilities
Tastefully decorated and extended Celyn Villa is a deceptively large warm and cosy cottage with beamed hall. It offers one double en-suite, one double/family room en-suite and one twin/Queen with private bathroom. Sea views from all bedrooms.

The spacious and comfortable lounge is also available for guests to use as is the garden and patio during the fine weather.

Amenities in the area: Several excellent Golf courses, Horses Riding, Beautiful Walking Country side, Bird Watching, Cycle routes, Fishing etc.

Eating
Paulene and Les take pride in the hospitality they show their guests and the "Celyn Breakfast" will set you up for the day ahead. (Although lighter options are available if required). Delicious three course evening meals are also provided with notice. Packed lunches can also be arranged.

There are several country pubs offering an excellent range of food from simple to the more exotic in and around the area, there are two within walking distance. Paulene and Les will be happy to make recommendations and reservations for you where necessary.

Transport
There is ample parking available at Celyn Villa. There is a local bus from the village with connections to Chester and Rhyl. The nearest railway station is Flint and collection can be arranged with prior notice.

Directions
From A55 take exit for Holywell (Junction 32) onto A5026. Proceed through one main set of traffic lights and one set of pedestrian lights and pass Texaco garage. Take left turn immediately before the Halfway House Pub and follow this road to the top (take sharp bend to left) at top turn right. Celyn Villa is just along on the right hand side (look out for dove cote in garden and 5 bar gate).
