Gowdenstane has a beautiful view over the Spey Valley and the Cairngorms. It is a perfect location for exploring both the Cairngorms National Park and the Monadhliath Mountains. Walks start from the B&B and Gowdenstane is located beside the National Cycle Path 7.
The owner is an experienced nature guide who provides walks and tours. The RSPB nature reserve Insh Marshes is at walking distance. In spring and early summer, Osprey can be seen. Ptarmigan and Dotterel breed in both the Monadhliath and the Cairngorm Mountains. The Highland Museum in Kingussie and Newtonmore are within walking distance while the Highland Wildlife Park is 5-minutes drive away.
Walkers and Cyclists are welcome; there is the possibility for secure locking of your bikes and other materials. We have developed our own walking and cycling routes starting form the B&B.
If you let us know we can offer you excellent evening meals or lunch packets. Early breakfast for walkers is possible. Pets are welcome.
The B&B room is en-suite and has a beautiful view over the Spey Valley. It has a double bed and a single settee bed.
