"Poppies" is located on in the northern part of Moray in Scotland. We are located about 1 mile from the coast in the quiet hamlet of Bogmoor (former location of RAF Dallachy, the WWII airfield and around one quarter of a mile from the River Spey.
The Speyside Way passes close by and is very popular with walkers. We can arrange a pickup service when you reach the mouth of the river for a well earned rest and a hot bath for those aching muscles.
The nearest town is Fochabers which is around 2 miles away and the city of Elgin about 12 miles away.
The main activities here are, Salmon and trout fishing, golf (choice of Spey Bay or Garmouth) which is on our doorstep although we do have others nearby too numerous to list and more walkways than you can imagine. The Winding Walks are maintained by the Forestry Commission and cover vast areas with distance maps to cater for all level of walkers.
Poppies has a large garden with two separate sitting areas with tables and chairs or you can choose to chill out on the lawn beneath the birch trees. Our accommodation is very comfortable and the silence of the grounds is unsurpassed.
So along with the quality sleeping arrangements and the lack of noise a good nights rest is guaranteed.
