Craigdene is a recently renovated 18th century Georgian Townhouse, set between the blue-flag beach of Elie and the rolling hills and fertile farmland of Fife's 'golden fringe'.

We source your breakfast from the local farms where possible; St Monan's smoked salmon and kippers, local free-range eggs and bacon and, in Summer, the seasonal soft fruits for which this part of Scotland is famous.

In case of inclement weather, both the dining room and drawing room have open fires. The drawing room, complete with all period features and shutters, has huge sofas on which to curl up on should the weather turn chilly.

Our large, airy bedrooms are all furnished to a very high standard with carefully restored antique furniture, luxuriously thick chinese rugs and spacious private bathing facilities. All are equipped with hairdryers, hospitality trays, LCD TV, dressing gowns and quality toiletries.

Colinsburgh is located in the heart of the East Neuk of Fife, so is ideally paced for the Fife Coastal path, for the Kingdom Cycle Network, for water-sports, bird-watching and - of course - golf!

The Coastal Path is just two miles away, off-the beaten-track bird-watching is available one mile away at Kilconquhar Loch and water-sports are well-catered for in the sheltered bay at Elie two miles off. Besides Colinsburgh's own golf-course (made famous by the patronage of George Bush senior and Sean Connery), most nearby villages have at least one golf course and St Andrews and Kingsbarns are both less than 10 miles away.

Highlights
  • Large, luxurious bedrooms and drawing room with open fire.
  • Less than 10 miles from St Andrews and Kingsbarns.
