Kersal House offers high quality, modern bed and breakfast accommodation in the heart of the beautiful market town of Hebden Bridge in West Yorkshire, only a short walk from the many cafes, restaurants, real ale pubs, unique local shops and art galleries. It is ideally located for exploring the South Pennines and The Pennine Way.
The rooms are all en suite, and free from frilly or fluffy decor. Each has a television/DVD player, tea/coffee maker, and hair dryer. We have a wide range of local maps and guidebooks available for guests to browse.
Cyclists can store their bikes securely.
Our generous breakfasts cater for vegetarians as well as those in need of a traditional full English.
Hebden Bridge (mentioned in the Doomsday Book) is set in a valley at the very heart of the Pennines. There are fantastic cycle routes and excellent walking country. The Pennine Way and The Calderdale Way are both easily accessible from Kersal House bed and breakfast.
From hilltops less than a mile away, the ancient village of Heptonstall overlooks Hebden Bridge. The rich history of the village includes the renowned poets Ted Hughes and Sylvia Plath, who lived there for several years. Plath is buried in Heptonstall church cemetery.
The breathtaking countryside, which surrounds the area, also inspired the Bronte sisters, and their home village of Haworth is only a few minutes drive away.
