The Barns are surrounded by fields in an area of great beauty. The cowshed is independent of our house and was designed to welcome arts groups, musicians, writers artists for periods of work.
Although compact it feels spacious, with every room opening outwards, through french doors into its own private garden secluded by cordon apple trees.
Furnishings are simple but aethetic. Our intention is that guests should feel as much at home as possible. In addition to bedrooms there is a conservatory/orangery and sitting room with TV. It is therefore like a short term holiday cottage.
We therefore provide the means for self catering breakfast (at your own time and pace, and privacy). We ask, in return for minimum bookings of two nights.
It is ten minutes from Stourhead and the numerous walks in Bruton Forest, as well as a number of notable houses; Barrington Court, Tintinhull, Longleat, Montacute, Lytes Cary all half an hour's drive.
A car is essential.
