Bowes House is a family run bed and breakfast set in a large garden of three quarters of an acre with stone barn, orchard, hens, fruit bushes, vegetable patch and flower borders. There are fabulous views across the countryside in every direction.
The bedrooms are large and comfortable with white cotton linen and towels and feather duvets and pillows. Arrive in time for tea and enjoy homemade cakes or biscuits served in the sitting room or garden. Tea and coffee and herbal teas are available at any time in the family kitchen. We try to only use organic and or locally grown produce, or even from the garden at the right time of year. Breakfast is traditional bacon and eggs with all the trimmings,or kippers, with the addition of a choice of homemade yoghurt, fruit compote and cereals, fruit juice, toast and homemade preserves.
We try to run as eco-friendly a house as we can recycling, using few if any cleaning products and gardening organically.
