"Why no Tourist Board listing?" I hear you cry - "Because we set our own high standards and hate bureaucracy" I reply! Trust us, we will feed and accommodate you to a very high standard.
Regrettably we do not accept solo travellers or children under 5 years of age; children should be under parental control at all times. Young people enjoy a 50% discount but are charged at the adult rate after their 12th birthday. Motorcyclists are welcome, but we ask that panniers and riding kit be left in the lobby. Slippers in a variety of sizes are provided to protect our pine floors if you do not bring your own.
The building was built new in 2003 and is our home first and foremost but it is also our pleasure to invite B&B guests who wish to enter a modern 'chintz-free-zone' and enjoy the airy, open plan character of the building.
We only have one guest room so most of our visitors are couples, however the additional pair of bunks in the room also means that families or groups of friends who are willing to share can stay, with a maximum of four persons. It follows then that if you stay with us you and your party will be the only guests, the experience is unlike a regular Guest House, more akin to being a house guest with friends. Guests are welcome to use the ground floor lounge area, a refreshments tray is provided in the room, Internet access (not wi-fi at present) is available.
We ask guests to be out and about enjoying the area between the hours of 10.00am and 4.00pm so that we may clean and maintain and carry out our own domestic and personal tasks, however between the hours of 4.00pm and 10.00am you are welcome to enjoy the house including the outdoor hot-tub with mountain panorama view and the outdoor wood-fired sauna. Normal safety precautions apply to both facilities but we can advise if you are in doubt. Towelling bathrobes are provided as are a range of standard bathroom shampoos and shower gels.
Breakfast is served at any time you specify until 9.00am, cooked to order and to time from the menu from which we will ask you to select before 9.00pm the preceding evening. Food is not kept warm but moves straight from stove to plate to you! Should you need a very early start, then something can surely be negotiated.
Accepting that active holidaymakers will occasionally get soaked to the skin in our somewhat 'capricious' climate; we can help dry you out overnight free of charge on a rack in our laundry room. If you need laundry washed (but not ironed) and dried, we will do so for £3 a load.
We normally ask for a deposit of about 30% of the total fee and accept cash, PayPal, Sterling cheques and Sterling travellers' cheques. Online credit/debit card payment is possible for deposits only, we would send you an invoice.

Disabled Facilities: There are disabled facilities. Disabled access ramp to building, no steps whatsoever on ground floor where B&B facilities are located. There is no specific disabled bathroom/WC equipment. Wheelchair users will find insufficient manoeuvring space in bathroom and bedroom. Shower room has safety mixer shower than cannot scald, a stool may be provided for the shower if desired.
Pet Facilities: Pets are not allowed. We keep the house dust, fur and allegen free as far as is possible.
Special Diets Provision: Special diets are catered for. Our breakfast menu is extensive and has components suitable for vegetarians but perhaps not for Vegans or those with intolerances / allergies. Please contact us with your questions on this issue.
Smoking Facilities: Smoking is not allowed. None whatsoever indoors, sad to say the smell that lingers on the clothes of even outdoor smokers tends to permeate the room and offend others.
Directions
If you are a GPS navigator use IV27 4JN, this will take you to a point just north east of Lochinver at the top of a hill. You are seeking the junction of the A837 and the B869 signed to Stoer and Drumbeg. Two bends and 300m later down the B869 you will be at the end of our drive, we are the first buiding on the right and the only wooden one for miles around. There is a house sign which reads 'Eadar Da' Sloc'
Adult rate is £22.00 per night, children aged 5 to 12 years are charged at 50%. After their 12th birthday the adult rate applies to young people.
Our season runs from April 1st until September 30th
