Welcome to Drynachan, a very comfortable Highland cottage, overlooking picturesque Loch Oich, less than ten minutes from Loch Ness.
The oldest part of the cottage dates back to the 1600s and is one of the oldest inhabited dwellings in Lochaber.
Our Bed and Breakfast offers all the luxuries of home and more (with none of the dusting).
We offer a comfortable family /double room with an en-suite bathroom on the ground floor. Upstairs there is a cosy twin room with private shower room (ground floor).
Each room has a TV/DVD set and hospitality tray.
Alternatively enjoy the comforts of our sitting room, with a log fire on chilly days and our comprehensive DVD library for your use or HD Satellite TV. Wi-Fi internet access is available on request.
Evening meals are available by prior arrangement.
Evening meals are also available at the local hotel/bar in Invergarry and there are several choices of places to eat in Fort Augustus.
There is a reliable local taxi service for those who don't wish to drive.
There is a large garden, which surrounds the cottage with herbaceous borders.
We overlook Loch Oich where sea otters have been seen. Behind the cottage is the Great Glen Cycle Path and Drynachan Wood, which is inhabited by red deer, red squirrel, pine martens and many species of wild birds.
The local area is excellent for walking, climbing, pony trekking, cycling, water sports and fishing, as well as Munro and Corbett 'bagging'.
