Gate Cottage is a lovely 17thC cottage in large gardens near the medieval village of Smarden, one of the most beautiful villages in Kent.
The cottage is set in an acre of gardens, with lawns, fruit trees, shrubberies and south facing patios for summer relaxation.
The atmospheric beamed interior has open log fires and central heating for winter warmth.
Two en-suite double rooms with colour TV, tea/coffee making facilities and fresh bottled water. Both rooms enjoy beautiful views over the garden and the Weld of Kent.
We serve a full English or Continental breakfast, using home grown or locally sourced produce, organic where possible and make our own bread and preserves.
Gate Cottage is with easy reach of many historic castles, houses, gardens and there are good pubs close by.
Easy access to channel ports, tunnel and motorways.
We regret we cannot accommodate children or pets.
