Scalby Hayes Bed and Breakfast enjoys an enviable position on the edge of the North York Moors, overlooking the Heritage Coast with views of Scarborough Castle. This charming property dates back to the seventeenth century and has been updated through the years, now offering comfortable accommodation to visitors to North Yorkshire.
Although Scalby Hayes enjoys a tranquil location it is just a ten minute drive to Scarborough Town Centre and is conveniently located on the edge of the picturesque village of Scalby. Should you wish to visit during the warmer months, guests are welcome to relax in the garden and make use of the summerhouse and garden furniture.
We have two lovely bedrooms available. Waterside is a large and attractive en-suite room and can be configured as a twin or a super king size. The room boasts views towards the coast and castle.
Fieldside is a lovely en-suite double bedroom and has views towards the countryside. Both rooms are equipped with widescreen LCD Freeview TVs, hospitality tray, radio alarm clock and hairdryer.
The comfortable and attractive guests' lounge has a wood burning stove, television with DVD player, together with a selection of games and books. On warmer days breakfast is served in the sun lounge, which overlooks the large garden.
We do not take children under the age of 16.

Directions
On reaching the northern edge of the village of Scalby (this is as you leave Scalby if heading for Whitby or as you enter Scalby if you are travelling from Whitby) turn into Barmoor Lane (signposted Suffield, Hackness, Harwood Dale and National Park). Drive past the duck pond on your right and up the hill. Very nearly at the top of the hill turn left and after approx 130m turn left down a single track. Continue down and bear left at the fork and the property is on the right after a further 80m.
