We opened The Chi restaurant and oriental sea food restaurant on July 7th 2007.
Chi is a family run business. Formally the Devon Arms public house, Devon Arms underwent a major refurbishment in 2006, re-opening in July 2007 as a Chi, oriental & seafood restaurant, serving fine oriental cuisine and fresh seafood.
Within 5 months of opening. Mr & Mrs Choy and their staff have achieved the areas first 4 star rated oriental restaurant with rooms.
Chi has 5 comfortable en-suite bedrooms all with colour TV, tea/coffee making facilities with complimentary biscuits and mineral water, hair dryer, in room safe, telephone, alarm clock\radio and free broadband internet access.
A photo copying & fax service is available at a small charge. Our breakfast menu includes a full English breakfast, or if you prefer something different, we offer a Chinese breakfast of freshly steamed dim sum and Jasmine tea. A packed lunch can also be provided.
You will find us tucked away in the picturesque village of Kenton, on A379 half way between Exeter & Dawlish, 6 miles from south of Exeter & 5 miles from Dawlish. Situated on the edge of the Powderham Estate, we are just minutes walk away from Powderham Castle, the historic home of the Earl of Devon, built over 600 years ago.
We have ample private parking at the rear of the property with a beautifully landscaped enclosed garden.
Our restaurant has been designed to offer our guests a comfortable and welcoming dining experience.
Where possible, our chefs endeavour to source fresh local produce.
Our cosmopolitan bar 'The Vine Bar' is open to dining and accommodation guests only. Here you can relax and enjoy a drink before or after your meal.

Directions
By Car:
On the A379 between Exeter and Dawlish, 6 miles south of Exeter.
From the M5 it is about 8 miles. Leave at Junction 30 (Sandygate) and proceed towards Exeter joining the A379 in a southerly direction. Continue over the Countess Wear Roundabout. Take the first exit left on the A379, signposted to Dawlish, Chi is in the village of Kenton, on the left hand side.
By Bus:
Catch number 85 bus from Exeter, Newton Abbot or Torquay.
By Bike:
From Exeter from the canal and Exe riverbank.
