Luxurious, self-contained suite, comprising large sitting room with digital TV and DVD player, CD/Radio with iPod port, small fridge and hospitality tray. A wooden staircase leads from the sitting room to the bedroom and bathroom.
Set in a cobbled courtyard, the property is very secluded and private and guests are welcome to use the sitting area in the garden. The B and B has its own private entrance and guests have their own key.
Meals are served in the sitting room at a time to suit guests. We will do our very best to make each visit as comfortable as we can.
Dinner can be arranged when booking and we use organic and local produce whenever possible.
Port Carlisle is a lovely little hamlet and an ideal place to stay to 'get away from it all'.
We are approximately 12 miles from Carlisle, 9 miles from Wigton, which is a pretty market town and about 30 miles from the north of the Lake District National Park. The approach roads to the Lakes from here are usually very much quieter than those from the south.

Directions
By car:
Take J43 from the M6 and go towards Carlisle. At the fourth set of traffic lights bear right, through two pedestrian crossings and come to a roundabout with traffic lights.
Turn right here on a short dual-carriageway to a large roundabout with lights.
Take the first exit, outside lane and pass the Castle on your right. Through another set of lights towards another roundabout. Follow signs for HOSPITAL, which is on your right.
Stay on this road until you see a sign for Grinsdale, Kirkandews, Burgh and Port Carlisle. Bear right at this sign and stay on this road until you come to Port Carlisle.
