Southill Barton is a Victorian farmhouse built in approximately 1874, sitting atop the edge of a valley overlooking its well stocked lake and gardens.
On arrival you are greeted with either a freshly made Devon cream tea, or a selection of home made cakes and biscuits.
Breakfast is served at an hour to suit you, using local produce only, including home laid eggs (if the bantams are in the mood!)
We are very happy to offer an evening meal, as well as high tea for children and a baby sitting service.
We can also offer exclusive private fishing on our well stocked lake.
Southill Barton is an ideal base for exploring the fantastic Devon countryside, which surrounds us.
The M5 motorway is within about seven minutes drive, giving very good access to the rest of Devon and Cornwall beyond.
The wonderful East Devon coastline known as the Jurassic Coast, is within half an hour's drive, with its popular coastal towns, which include Sidmouth, Exmouth and Lyme Regis.
The popular market and lace town of Honiton, is within easy reach and offers an excellent range of local shops and restaurants.
Exeter and Taunton are both about twenty minutes drive away, offering more extensive recreational opportunities, which include a number of cinemas.
There is excellent riding, cycling and walking on the Blackdown Hills and Exmoor.
