We are a friendly, family run B and B in the historic town of Wirksworth, with panoramic views over the beautiful Ecclesbourne valley.

A warm, homely and relaxed atmosphere with lots of home-made produce, cotton sheets, your own enclosed, pretty courtyard garden and an open fire in one of the bedrooms for ultimate relaxation.

Dogs and other pets, children and partially disabled welcome.

The house is in a quiet location in the old part of Wirksworth, amongst picturesque miners' cottages, within two minutes walk of the town centre and shops.

There are fantastic views over the valley and an intriguing roof scape of old Wirksworth.

Wirksworth is a delightful, unspoilt old town, rich in history with many old features preserved; it dates back to pre Roman times and was at one time a well established lead mining town.

The old part of the town has elegant Victorian houses, tightly packed miners' cottages amongst delightful unspoilt narrow winding streets and alleyways and wonderful views.

Within a few minutes drive of the beautiful Peak District National Park; close to Bakewell, Chatsworth, Haddon Hall, Matlock and Derby Within easy driving distance of attractions such as Gulliver's Kingdom, The Heights of Abraham, Carsington water and Alton Towers.

Lovely countryside for walking, just out of the back gate.

Special events in Wirksworth include a Carnival in May, Well Dressing and the Wirksworth Festival in September.

The festival is a two week treat of art, music, theatre, street theatre, workshops and other activities.

The Art and Architecture Trail, which forms part of the Festival, draws people from far and wide and is a special and unique event.

Local people open their houses to artists and artisans to exhibit their work to the public.
