Crossways House was commissioned by Queen Victoria, for her administrator of Sea Cadets and it is a comfortable gracious house, set in lovely gardens with koi ponds and dovecots.
It is a perfect base to explore Osborne House, Queen Victoria's favourite residence, which is located 100 yards away; we are also located just one mile from the Red Funnel Terminal in East Cowes and close to the marinas in Cowes and East Cowes.
We offer all en-suite rooms, some with romantic four poster beds for a special break.
Dinner is served every evening except Sunday, in our period dining room, with views over the gardens.
We offer a varied seasonal menu, using local ingredients all freshly prepared; there is also a comfortable bar, where you can enjoy coffee and liquors after dinner or an aperitif before.
Breakfast is served between seven-thirty and nine-thirty, with a comprehensive menu, which caters for everyone with low fat choices and of course the Full English, which features Isle of Wight produce.
All of our rooms have Freeview and a WiFi connection for Internet.
We have DVD players and DVDs are available to borrow free of charge and there is a guest computer with broadband in the bar.
Maps and guidebooks are also available for guest use and we are happy to advise on restaurants and attractions on the island.
