Set in the secluded hamlet of Purtington and awarded a 4 star rating by 'Visit Britain', Purtington Barn has been lovingly restored by the owners Peter and Elizabeth, who are delighted to offer this intriguing building as an oasis, in which to enjoy and relax away from the stresses of modern day life.
Surrounded by organic farming and a sense of time standing still Peter and Elizabeth support Green Tourism and source a variety of Local produce.
In an historical location on the edge of the Cricket St.Thomas estate, erstwhile home of Audrey fforbes-Hamilton of TV's to the Manor Born, Purtington Barn is ideally placed for visiting the Jurassic Coast, numerous National Trust properties, fantastic gardens, museums and antiques dealers.
Animals play a very active role at Purtington, whether it be the Shetland cows in the conservation meadow, or the labradors waiting to greet you, and Peter and Elizabeth are pleased to accept responsible owners with well behaved pets.
Purtington is very much an active location and is therefore not suitable for young children or people requiring special access facilities.
