Susie and John Stakes extend a warm welcome to their 18thC timber beamed AA4 star bed and breakfast in one of Keswick's oldest properties with a host of attractive features including wood burning stoves and works by local artists on display.
Our AA 4 star guest house is centrally located in a quiet corner just off Keswick's market square and only 5 mins walk from the lake and its celebrated theatre.
All rooms are en-suite with modern facilities ( including Internet connection ), individually designed and decorated and containing many distinguishing personal touches.
Our award winning breakfasts include full cumbrian and alternative seasonal mouth watering dishes which cater for vegetarians and guests with special dietary requirements. We use organic and fair trade products wherever possible and source as much of our food as we can locally.
We cater for walkers and cyclists with good drying and cycle storage facilities. We are on the C2C cycle route and carry a wide range of books maps and guides to help plan your day.
John is also an experienced volunteer footpath repairer in Borrowdale and has a particular knowledge of the local footpaths and tracks.
