Lomond Villa Bed and Breakfast, is a comfortable, family run, bed and breakfast, at the heart of the town of Balloch by the banks of the River Leven and picturesque Loch Lomond.
Lomond Villa has one double and two twin bedded bedrooms, all benefiting from en-suite shower facilities, Colour TV, hospitality tray and there is a sitting room/breakfast room. It is coveniently located next to Balloch railway station and there is also ample parking for guests.
Lomond Villa is your home from home centred at the heart of Scotland's first National Park.
From Balloch Railway Station, there is a half-hourly service from/to Glasgow Queen Street Monday - Saturday. On Sundays a service runs via Central Station, Glasgow's primary station and from Central, services continue to Motherwell.
Balloch is also just a 25 minute drive from Glasgow Airport and the centre of Glasgow is just 35 minutes by car. So you can enjoy both the beautiful countryside around the Loch and Ben Lomond as well the City of Glasgow.
Loch Lomond marks the start of Highlands of Scotland and the Loch is the largest freshwater Loch in Scotland, 39 km long, and up to 8 km wide and has an average depth of 37 metres and maximum depth of 190 metres.
Loch Lomond has found fame over centuries through song and verse, including the song "Loch Lomond" and recently though Loch Lomond Golf Club, hosting International golf events including the Barclay's Scottish Open.
Loch Lomond is a peaceful location from which explore the sights and attractions of Glasgow, Edinburgh, central Scotland and of course Loch Lomond.
With its accessible location at the Southern end of Loch Lomond it is an important centre of tourism. The largest number of boats cruising on Loch Lomond leave from here just across the road from Lomond Villa.
The town is also a regular venue for major concerts during the Summer in Balloch Country Park .
Balloch is a lovely wee town at the North end of the Vale of Leven, straddling the River Leven itself and well worth a visit.
