Innisfree is a family run guest house, situated in a quiet hilltop village on the edge of the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
From the rear of the property there are excellent views over the Wear valley and up into Teesdale and Weardale.
We offer comfortable beds and an excellent breakfast, ranging from fresh baked croissant to full English.
Where ever possible, our food is sourced locally and the house is centrally heated by a carbon neutral, wood burning boiler stove; a stay at Innisfree will not make a noticeable impact on your carbon footprint.
Whether your interest is in National Heritage, exploring the countryside, visiting the small towns and villages of County Durham, taking in the sights (like the highest waterfall in England), or a little City Shopping, Innisfree makes an excellent base.
Newcastle is only forty minutes drive away as is the Metro Centre. Durham is closer still at only twenty minutes. Hadrian's wall at Corbridge takes just half an hour.
The 1B Bus service (Tow Law to Darlington ) stops next door and runs every hour.
We have one very friendly dog, so Innisfree would not be suitable for anyone with a dog allergy or phobia.
