With spectacular views towards Frome, Longleat and Bradley Knoll, our comfortable family home is on the edge of the picturesque village of Maiden Bradley and our third generation farm, where we raise beef in a Suckling herd and grow cereals.

Maiden Bradley is a picturesque village with a Norman church and is the historic seat of the Duchy of Somerset. Jane Seymour reputedly lived in the village, as did Jethro Tull (no not the old rockers!), but the inventor of the modern plough.

Traditionally a farming community, horses and cattle were paraded for sale on the road in front of The Rank during the Spring and Autumn Fair Markets until at least the mid 1800's.

The Old White Hart is over three hundred years old and is one of several Maiden Bradley Inns mentioned as early as 1709, on the crossroads of two important coaching routes, London to Barnstaple and Bath to Poole.(No longer a licensed Inn)

The name comes from the many ancient myths and legends associated with the sighting of the white hart, a very rare occurrence in the wild. Hence its association with good luck, especially for travellers.

Situated within easy reach of many renowned beauty spots, including Longleat and Stourhead in excellent walking country; it is also within easy reach of Bath, Bristol and Salisbury and a wealth of other equally delightful small West Country towns.

In our home you have a choice of two comfortable double rooms, both have bathrooms en-suite and either twin or double beds; each room has space for an extra fold-up bed or a child's cot.

If, like us you are concerned about where your food comes fro, you will be relieved that we have a policy where possible, of not only supporting local suppliers and producers, but also, using food grown here on the farm.

At times we will have our own bacon, sausages and free range eggs alongside homemade bread, jams, marmalade and organic milk from a neighbouring farm.
