Fimber Gate is located in the beautiful Yorkshire Wolds.
A railway crossing gate house in a former life, it has recently been completely updated and provides a wonderful base from which to explore this largely forgotten area of Yorkshire.
It is situated in a beautiful garden and all ground floor rooms have either views of the garden or the surrounding countryside.
All bedrooms are centrally heated and have televisions-DVDs, hair dryers and tea-coffee facilities as standard.
The two double rooms have fully tiled en-suite shower rooms with heated mirrors and the twin room has an adjoining spacious private shower room.
Breakfast is served, family style, in the large kitchen.
Where possible, all produce is locally sourced.
There is a patio/-area which we encourage our guests to use to relax after a days walking, cycling or sightseeing. A barbecue is available.
There is also off-street parking.
We are located midway between York and the coast with the towns of Malton, Driffield and Beverley nearby.
Sledmere House, Burton Agnes Hall, Castle Howard and FlamingoLand are all within easy reach.
Eden Camp Museum, The Deep in Hull and a deserted medieval village are also just a few places of interest well worth a visit.
There are many cycling trails and walking routes for all abilities.
The Yorkshire Wolds Way walking trail is also nearby and we offer luggage transfer if required. An outside covered drying area and secure storage for bicycles and motorbikes is available.

Heading east on the A166 turn left on the B1251 at Fridaythorpe, through Fimber to the roundabout.
Take the third exit onto the B1248 towards Wetwang and Fimber Gate is approximately 150 yards on the right.
Heading west from Driffield on the A166 turn right onto the B1248 just after Wetwang and Fimber Gate is approximately one mile on the left.
