The Old Post Cottage offers quality Bed and Breakfast accommodation in a small quiet unspoilt conservation village near Silverstone on the borders of Northamptonshire and Buckinghamshire.

Previously a Victorian cottage and now tastefully extended to maintain its character, old wooden beams rustic oak doors yet modern facilities to ensure a comfortable stay

A warm welcome awaits you together with attractive en-suite rooms. All have colour TV, tea and coffee making facilities and glorious views across open fields.

Internet access is available.

Full English breakfast is provided in a farmhouse style kitchen with a traditional old Aga.

Guests are welcome to relax in the guest lounge or take a stroll through the village of Lillingstone Lovell with its 13th Century church, thatched cottages, and historic sites.

Enjoy beautiful walks from footpaths leading direct from the house. Little has changed here over the last 150 years

An ideal location for those that want peace and tranquillity to get away from it all.

A good base for visiting a wide area of central England with all its beauty, history and interest this part of England has to offer.

Easy access from the M1 and M40, just 20 minutes from Junction 10 of the M40 and 20 minutes from Junction 15a of the M1

Directions from Heathrow and the M40 South

Leave Heathrow, taking the M4 following signs to M25.
At Junction 4b leave M4 taking M25 signposted (M40, M1, A1, North and Oxford)
At junction 16 leave M25 taking M40 signposted (Oxford, B'ham)
Exit M40 at either junction 9 taking A421 signposted (Bicester) and proceed to Buckingham. (follow directions from Buckingham)
Or exit M40 at junction 10 and take the A43 signposted Silverstone/Towcester and proceed to Silverstone. (follow directions below from Silverstone).

Directions from Buckingham.
In the centre of Buckingham at mini roundabout by Old Gaol take A413 Whittlebury/Towcester.
Continue for about five miles, passing Akeley and Lillingstone Dayrell.
Turn right when you see signs to the village of Lillingstone Lovell. Go past the church, down a hill and at the bottom of the hill turn left into Brookside.
The Old Post Cottage is the last house on the right before the gates to Valley farm.

Directions from M40 North
Exit at M40 junction 10 and take the A422 towards Brackley.
At Brackley take the A43 towards Towcester and proceed to Silverstone.

Directions from Silverstone
Turn off the A43 for Silverstone.
Continue through the village, (do not go to the circuit), on leaving the village take the right hand turn to Whittlebury
When you get to the centre of the village, turn right onto the A413 sign posted Buckingham.
Proceed through the village passing the Whittlebury Country Club and golf course on your right.
After about two miles, on a bend, turn left to the village of Lillingstone Lovell.
Go past the church, down a hill.
At the bottom of the hill there is a crossroads.
Turn left into Brookside.
The Old Post cottage is the last house on the right, before the gates to Valley farm.

Directions from the M1 Route 1
Exit M1 at junction 15A and take A43 to the right, passing under the bridge following all signs towards Oxford on the A43 dual carriageway

At Towcester, A5 junction roundabout, proceed on the A43
At next roundabout carry straight on the A43 for only a couple of miles, then take first slip road off A413 Whittlebury/Buckingham
Follow signs to Whittlebury, proceed through the village passing the Whittlebury Country Club and golf course.
After about two miles, on a bend, turn left to the village of Lillingstone Lovell.
Go past the church, down a hill.
At the bottom of the hill there is a crossroads.
Turn left into Brookside.
The Old Post Cottage is the last house on the right before the gates to Valley farm.

Route 2 - Directions from the M1 junction 13 and A5 Milton Keynes
Follow the A421 towards Buckingham, come off the A421 just after the hospital and follow signs to A5.
Follow the A5 Northwards from Milton Keynes to the end of the dual carriageway, at the big traffic light controlled roundabout (Stony Stratford roundabout) get in centre lane and continue A5 North
After about two miles at the village of Potterspury, near the bottom of the hill, take a small road to the left signed Puxley.
Follow this and take the right fork at the first junction and follow signs to Lillingstone Lovell. Turn right at the next 'T' junction, then after half a mile turn left. ( a minor road between two fields)
Keep going straight for two miles until you get to the village, go down the hill and at the bottom of the hill turn right into Brookside.
The Old Post cottage is the last house on the right before the gates to Valley Farm. Park directly outside.
