The Old Courthouse B&B is situated half way between Tunbridge Wells and Hastings in the centre of the small village of Hurst Green in the heart of 1066 country.
The beautiful countryside of the Weald, an area of outstanding natural beauty (ANOB) and the seaside are all within easy reach.
Places of interest close by include Battle Abbey, Bateman's the Jacobean home of Rudyard Kipling - author of the Jungle Book, Bewl Water, Bodium Castle, Merriments Gardens, Scotney Castle and Sissinghurst Gardens.
During summer months there are many events that take place nearby, such as open air Shakespearian and theatrical plays. There are music concerts, which are a mix of classical and well known bands.
The building itself is an imposing yet beautiful listed Victorian Courthouse, with a clock tower, complete with original features.
Behind the Courthouse is a cricket pitch and public footpaths to fields of wild flowers and woodlands.
There are many country pubs and restaurants, all within easy reach for lazy lunches and romantic evening meals.

Disabled Facilities: There are disabled facilities. The B&B is on the ground floor. The access from the car park at rear has five steps. The access from the front of building has two steps. Although the rooms are large it would be difficult with a wheelchair in the rooms. The hallway can accommodate a wheelchair.
Pet Facilities: Pets are not allowed.
Special Diets Provision: Special diets are catered for. Please telephone and let us know your needs or just simply what sort of breakfast you would like.
Smoking Facilities: Smoking is not allowed. The door to the rear of the property is extremely close to the room.
We can arrange to meet you at the local train station Etchingham (approx one mile away, which is a direct line from Charing Cross, London Bridge and Waterloo East.
Good road links from London from the A21 and Brighton from the A265.
On entering the village from London/Tunbridge Wells direction you will see the clock tower to your left.
The carpark is access via. a small lane which runs next to the courthouse.
If you pass The George/Eurasia pub & restaurant you have gone too far and need to turn around.
