Post Mead is an attractive and very comfortable Georgian style home within walking distance of the 12th century Bishop's Palace ruins and a 13th century Church.

The small town (or village to some) of Bishop's Waltham has individual shops and a variety of eating places all located within 300 yards of the house.

Bishop's Waltham village sits on the Southern edge of the South Downs National Park which offers extensive walks including the Pilgrims Way and the Kings Way, whilst the Monarch and South Downs Ways are close by.

The Moors Nature Reserve, an SSSI (also part of the Park) is within 100 yards

Bishop's Waltham is equi-distant from and convenient for Winchester, the ancient capital of Wessex with its Cathedral and King Arthur's Round Table.

Portsmouth, home to Nelson's 18th century flagship Victory, a number of Napoleonic Forts and the dramatic Spinnaker Tower located on the waterfront in Old Portsmouth.

Southampton is home to cruise ships.

Salisbury, the New Forest, the Water-cress Line and the Isle of Wight are all within easy reach.

Your hosts, Averil & Ian can provide information on many of the places to visit as well as suggestions on where to eat and drink in the area.

Guests have their own sitting room with a TV, a spacious dining room with separate tables and tea/coffee making facilities in their room.

In good weather guests can enjoy their welcome tea and home-made cakes on the terrace of our one acre garden.

Post Mead sits on the corner of Shore Lane and the B2177 behind a high laurel hedge.
Please note there is no B&B sign.
