Strand Bank is a modern and spacious guest house nestling in a peaceful valley on the banks of the River Caldew, at the edge of the Northern Fells of the Lake District National Park.
It is situated just 100 metres from the Cumbria Way and 1 mile from the Reivers cycle route, and offers a warm welcome to walkers and cyclists.
The picturesque Lakeland villages of Caldbeck and Hesket Newmarket are just 3 miles along the river and the market towns of Keswick, Cockermouth, Penrith, and the historic city of Carlisle, are all within a 30 minute drive.
Surrounding Sebergham are footpaths and quiet country lanes and you can enjoy walking, cycling, driving and motorcycling, away from the crowds of the Southern Lakes.
Strand Bank is enclosed by an acre of garden, newly planted woodland, and river bank, and is host to a great variety of wildlife, including our native red squirrels.
We will make every effort to make sure that your stay with us is a memorable one. The atmosphere is one of relaxation and comfort and our aim will be to ensure you feel very much at home.
Home cooked meals are available in our bright and airy conservatory, with views over the garden, or on the south facing patio if the weather permits.
Wherever possible our food is sourced locally and prepared fresh for you, and you can enjoy a hearty breakfast whilst watching the variety of wildlife in the garden.
Freshly prepared packed lunches can be provided, by prior arrangement, for £5.00 per person, including drink.
Please Note: Evening meals and packed lunches must be ordered in advance.
We have a double room and a twin room which have been individually furnished to a very high standard. You will have the use of a private dedicated bathroom with bath and separate shower unit.
A touch of luxury is offered with quality down duvets and pillows, fine cotton bed linen, and the use of freshly laundered bathrobes. All of this should guarantee a fantastic night's sleep ensuring that you wake up relaxed and ready to start your day.
Each room offers a colour television, DVD/CD player, tea and coffee making facilities, and a hairdryer; a selection of DVDs is available for guests to use during their stay.
