Directions
By Car from the South:
M1/M18/A1M/A1 Leave the A1 at the A64 for York and Scarborough, then leave the A64 taking the A1036 with the sign for York West. Travel towards York, passing the Holiday Inn and the Marriott on your right. You will then see York Racecourse on your right. As the Racecourse is coming to an end, watch for the Fairmount House on the left. St George's Place is on the next turn left.

By Car from the North:
A1 South Leave at the junction of the A59 for York, travel towards York City until you pass through an iron girder bridge, then take the right turn at the sign for Selby & Racecourse. You will come to a set of traffic lights - turn right. Travel down the hill until you see the Newington Hotel on your left. St George's Place is the next turn right.

St George's is across from York's racecourse, 0.9 miles to city centre. It is about 10 min walk to the city walls and a further 5-10 mins walk from here to the centre.
