Directions
By Car:
Leave the M6 at junction 36. Follow the A591 to Windermere. On entering Windermere you will see the Windermere Hotel on the right.
Continue through the predestrian crossing lights and take the next turning on the left - approximately 150 yards. A sign on the left indicates the car park.

By Car from the South:
Come off the M6 at junction 36. This is sign posted South Lakes. Follow the Windermere signs along the A591. On entering Windermere you will see the Windermere Hotel on the right. Take the road which is second on the left after the hotel, approximately 150 yards. A sign on the left indicates the car park.

From Scotland:
The road from Penrith along Ullswater and over Kirkstone Pass, is a most scenic introduction to the area. At the bottom of the pass turn left at the traffic island and come half a mile to Windermere.

The train and bus station are both no more than two minutes walk away.
