Duck House is an elegant regency townhouse, situated in the very heart of ROMAN DORCHESTER, off a quiet private road with some parking.
The family house is arranged over three floors, offering two double south facing rooms,(one with en-suite facilities)and a lovely separate guest dining room, where we will serve you delicious breakfasts, using locally sourced produce, which is organic wherever possible and cooked on the traditional AGA.
The town centre is less than half a minute's stroll away and the two main line railway stations are five minutes walk distance, making Duck House the perfect place to stay with or without a car!
Hardy's Dorchester (known as 'Casterbridge' in his novels), is the historic county town of Dorset, boasting numerous tourist attractions, shops and restaurants, all within easy walking distance of Duck House; there is a lovely Victorian park nearby, the venue of plenty of outdoor summer concerts.

From Dorchester South Station:
Exit south, turn right onto Weymouth Avenue and left at Junction Pub onto Trinity street, then left down footpath adjacent to the Pet Shop. From Dorchester West Station:
Exit south towards park, left at West Walks, (Roman boundary) and turn right into Princess street and right into Sommerleigh road.
The regency terrace is prominently situated on the left side of this road, after passing a large former hospital.
