The beautiful Derwentwater, with its magnificent scenery and awe inspiring mountains, is a mere 15 minutes walk from our front door.

With countless paths, fell walks and cycle routes throughout the area, there is something to suit all levels of ability, whether walking, climbing or cycling.

Motor cyclists are also welcome and will enjoy the many winding roads, country lanes and stunning scenery; we are ideally placed for touring the Northern lake area plus Carlisle and the Western part of Hadrian's wall, are all within a short drive. Ambleside, Windermere Coniston and many other beautiful areas of the lakes are all close at hand.

Our accommodation comprises of 8 rooms, 5 en-suite plus 3 standard, all pleasantly decorated and tastefully furnished, most having excellent fell views; all are centrally heated and have TV's, tea/coffee making facilities, hair dryers, clock radios.

Our light, airy dining room has separate tables where a choice of full Cumbrian, Vegetarian or Continental breakfast is available; packed lunches (small charge) and free flask filling is also available.

Keswick on Dewentwater is situated by one of the Lake District's prettiest lakes and provides a wide variety of activities, plus plenty of interesting places to visit.

Apart from the extensive walking opportunities there is the popular Theatre by the Lake, cinema, museum, leisure pool, tennis courts, bowling greens, beautiful gardens and parks, pleasure boats plus all types of golf.

The large pedestrian area in the town centre, is surrounded by historic buildings, interesting shops, cafes and a wide variety of eating places, providing good food to suit all tastes and pockets.
