We are located in the centre of Steeple Bumpstead, a rural village in East Anglia, on the borders of Essex, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire.
There are two good pubs in the village, both serve excellent meals and are just a few minutes walk from Wheelwrights.
There are many interesting places to visit within easy driving distance of Wheelwrights B&B.
We are half an hour's drive from Cambridge, Newmarket, Stansted Airport and Duxford Imperial War Museum; 20 minutes from the historic market town of Saffron Walden; 10 minutes from picturesque Finchingfield; 40 minutes from Bury St Edmunds and about an hour from London.
East Anglia is a beautiful rural area unspoiled by mass tourism.
Picture postcard villages and small market towns abound.
Nearby are the stunning wool towns of Clare, Long Melford and Lavenham, famous for their wonderful lathe and plaster timber framed buildings.
Dedham Vale, where Constable painted many of his famous scenes, is also easy to visit from here.
Our B&B rooms are two double en-suite rooms and one small double with an adjacent shower room. Payment in cash or cheque please.
