The White Rose in Windermere makes a perfect base for guests visiting the beautiful English Lake District.
The house was built in 1817 from the Lakeland slate and now offers guests lovely en-suite accommodation.

We have six en-suite bedrooms - five with double beds and one flexible bedroom with a zip and link bed - so the bedroom offers twin beds or, when zipped together, a really big double bed!!

We have two standard en-suite double bedrooms on the first floor of the house (Bedroom 1 and Bedroom 2) - as well as a larger double bedroom (Bedroom 3).
Bedroom 3 is the most spacious room at the White Rose and it also has a sofa.

We also have two bedrooms (Bedroom 4 and Bedroom 5)on the second floor of the house and they have lovely open aspects towards the fells or the distant mountains. These bedrooms do not have sloping ceilings - but normal ceilings and double glazed windows that open.
Bedroom 5 is an en-suite double and Bedroom 4 has two full sized single beds that zip together to make a really comfortable big bed!!

We also have a ground floor bedroom at the White Rose.
Bedroom 6 is accessed via a small courtyard at the rear of the White Rose an guests using this bedroom will have to walk around to the front of the house for breakfast.

All the bedrooms at the White Rose have en-suite facilities of a shower, toilet and hand basin. Fluffy white towels, shampoo and soaps are included.
All the bedrooms have colour TV and DVD player, tea and coffee making facilities with biscuits, an alarm clock radio and a hairdryer.

In the morning, enjoy a leisurely breakfast in the sunny dining room. We serve a substantial English breakfast and we also happily cater for vegetarians and guests who may have specific dietary requirements. We would appreciate it if you could let us know your needs at the time of booking!

The maps and guides that we have at the house will ensure you see the most beautiful parts of the Lake District - and Caroline is always on hand to help you plan your days.

We offer special three and four night breaks throughout the year - and offer very competitive rates throughout the year.

We are only a five minute walk from the shops, restaurants and pubs in the centre of the village, the railway and bus stations.
